The Tourist Ombudsman attended the Projection-Debate Series “This Is Us” under the “World Day Against Trafficking”.

Under the “World Day Against Trafficking” on Friday 29 July at 15.30 h the Tourist Ombudsman participated in the screening of two episodes of the series “This Is Us”, Sol Bonelli and Juan Manuel Diaz in the Auditorium Hugo del Carril. At 2013 the National Commission for Justice and Peace (Episcopal Conference Argentina) convocó a diversas instituciones que trabajan por la lucha contra la trata y explotación de personas para formar un equipo en pos de aunar esfuerzos y trabajar en acciones coordinadas para poner en agenda esta grave problemática. Al término de las proyecciones y a fin de concientizar y visibilizar el flagelo de la Trata y Tráfico de Personas se convocó a una mesa de diálogo a cargo de Ximena Rattoni (Fundación La Alameda), Dra. Laura Moon Cháves (lawyer expert in childhood and child trafficking) and Dr.. Maria Lourdes Molina (Our Hands Civil Association).

In the year 2014 la ONU designó como “World Day Against Trafficking” el 30 of July. The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, on that occasion he expressed "promoted this day as a call to action to end this crime and give hope to victims who often live among us unrecognized".
