Meeting with the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC).

 

The Tourist Ombudsman of the City of Buenos Aires met yesterday virtually with the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), with the aim of discussing the cases received by both organizations linked to air transport, exchange experiences and maintain more fluid contact, especially in the context of the pandemic.

The meeting was attended by Dr.. Florence Dovichi, National Director of Air Transport of ANAC; Dra. Cintia Bruno, Director of the Executive Direction of Tourist Rights of the Office of the Ombudsman of CABA, and the legal and tourism references of the Tourist Ombudsman Dra. Mercedes Adrogué, Lic. Carla cabrosi, Dra. Andrea Lallana, Lic. Cindy Barnoin y Lic. Yamila Cruzans.

Introductory way, Dra. Bruno made a formal presentation of the Buenos Aires Tourist Ombudsman before the new authority of the ANAC to publicize how the body works in the City of Buenos Aires regarding the protection of the rights of tourists as consumers, both national and foreign.

Then, The procedures for managing the cases received by the ANAC were discussed and information was exchanged on the queries and complaints received by both organizations.. Además, the new Law was debated 27.563 of Sustaining and Productive Reactivation of the National Tourist Activity, especially about your article 27, that establishes the management alternatives available to transport companies that have been affected or prevented from providing the contracted services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, both authorities agreed on the need to maintain a direct communication channel to be able to work together, each one from its role, and create synergy at a time as atypical and complex as the one we are going through as a result of the pandemic. In that sense, It was agreed to hold new meetings to stay informed about the new provisions that may arise in relation to commercial air transport.
